Laurie Amodeo, LAC, MSW, MBA (she/her) has been a student and practitioner of yoga and Buddhism since 2005. She facilitates embodied practices as a meditation guide, breathwork facilitator, and yoga teacher specializing in Yoga Nidra. Her approach is trauma-informed and grounded in uplifting people from historically marginalized communities. Laurie is of Haitian lineage and has co-founded engaged contemplative community spaces centering bodies of color, including Hush Harbor Community (active) and the BIPOC Meditation Collective (2017–2025).



As an integrative social worker, Laurie is dedicated to holistic well-being and community care. She draws on therapeutic approaches that foster self-exploration, emotional insight, and consciousness inquiry, alongside behavioral interventions and extensive study in mind-body practices. This blend supports an eclectic, whole-person approach to her therapeutic work. Laurie partners with individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges, empowering them to move toward the lives they envision. Guided by liberation principles and ecological systems perspectives, her methods support both personal and community health, nurturing groundedness and expanded capacity.



Laurie also holds a Master of Business Administration degree and spent more than 13 years in strategy and communications, developing digital marketing and content campaigns for major brands throughout her career in New York City and Colorado.



In her creative practice, Laurie is a singer-lyricist, sound shaper, body mover, writer, herbalist, and student of botanical arts.
